Job Description
We’re looking for a Working Student – Data Operations (m/w/x) to join our team. As a
Working Student – Data Operations at Sparrow, you will use custom and off-the-shelf tools to prepare, analyse and improve our customers’ (and Sparrow’s) data.
Because data is our business and our biggest asset, we look for someone who loves working with data, is super diligent and enjoys contributing to user experience and customer success from the data side.
What this role is:
Understanding, structuring and cleaning data (semi-)automatically
Troubleshooting data issues in customer and internal catalogues
Customer focused - every step of the way
Optional - Experience with industrial spare parts processes
What this role is not:
A database admin
Customer facing
A data science/engineering role
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing incoming data from our customers for our different products
Quality assuring for customer data cleaned by our algorithms
Processing and managing data catalogues from different sources
Working tightly with our data engineers to improve quality of internal catalogues
Preparing benchmarks and help train machine learning algorithms used in data processing tools

Pay is per hour for up to 20 hours a week. Working hours depend on your flexibility to
balance your university studies with the job.
Requirements
Technical knowledge and interest is a big plus: e.g. you know what a driving belt or a proximity sensor is
(optional)You have a basic knowledge of SQL and/or scripting, likely Python or similar languages
You have a good command of spreadsheet software (Excel, Google Sheets).
You are able to learn how to work with new tools quickly.
You communicate well in English, German knowledge is a plus
